Rico is 4 years old and lives with his owners Sara and Jorge in Spain. He joined the Word Learning Dog project only three months ago and already knows the names of about 30 toys.
Rico is named after the famous border collie Rico from Germany, which was the first dog in which the ability to retrieve toys by their names was documented. Our Spanish Rico loves running up and down the stairs to collect his toys but is not always so keen on letting them go.
