Max and his owner Ildiko live in Budapest, Hungary, and and often visits us at the Department of Ethology to help us with different experiments. He is the youngest dog to join the Word Learning Dog project. We met him when he was only 7 months old and already knew the names of 15 toys! Today Max is 2 years old and after completing the first stage of the challenge he will know the names of 100 toys!

He loves doing agility and canicross. Max is very generous and loves pushing his toys to the experimenters during the tests. When Ildiko tells him “Max, Hol van…” which is gregarious for “where is”, he concentrates so strongly, he sometimes sticks his tongue out.
